The IBM Center for The Business of Government has released an excellent study of government use of Web 2.0 technologies and blogging in particular. "The Blogging Revolution: Government in the Age of Web 2.0" provides excellent information on recent efforts by public officials and government agencies to provide information to the public, and expand the lines of communications with citizens.

Compiled by Dr. David Wyld of Southeastern Louisiana State University, the IBM study also discusses how blogs are used internally by government agencies to improve the flow of information. Also provided are some of the "lessons learned" and details on the best practices for public managers wanting to use blogging technoloy.

OSWG has arranged for a local copy of this excellent study to be available for your download and review (Adobe PDF format).
